Facebook doesn't seem to let you post animated gifs properly, but I just love this one so much that I had to paste it somewhere. It was appropriate for a bit of irritating news I got this morning.
I learned that you should feel when writing, not like Lord Byron on a mountain top, but like a child stringing beads in kindergarten—happy, absorbed and quietly putting one bead on after another.—Brenda Ueland
I am a writer. I've written a few dozen short stories and have completed the first draft a novel (glory, hallelujah.) My work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Westchester Review, The Hudson Indpendent, and The Adirondack Review. In my copious spare time, I write newspaper stories and edit other people's books -- and fail to send out my stories.
